There is no doubt The White Lotus delivers on drama, sass, sex, laughs, and cringe moments (you know what we’re talking about). But it also delivers on stunning style, and every once in a while, if we’re lucky, we are shown a piece of vintage heaven to drool over.
One of the highlights of this season is the crazy fabulous string coconut bikini top worn by Aimee Lou Wood’s character, the ever-optimistic, free-spirited boho babe Chelsea. In episode five (yep, that one), we see Chelsea aboard the yacht owned by Chloe’s older boyfriend Greg/Gary, along with the Ratliff brothers. She’s wearing a gorgeous golden fringed skirt, but her glorious coconut bra provides the drool.
The vintage coconut top comes courtesy of Los Féliz, a Barcelona-based vintage shop dealing in highly curated finds. Owner Nadia Benedicte Pape recently told Vogue she purchased the piece a while ago in France; however, she never made it available to purchase. “I just kept it in my archives for a while, waiting for something special,” she noted. Pape mentioned that the sculpted bikini top featuring white etchings had been rented by an unnamed famous pop star at one point. The said star singer never wore it, and we are eternally grateful because it was meant to shine bright under the Thailand sun.
